Fashion Night Out Dallas 2012

“I’m not addicted to drugs, I’m addicted to glamour.”
-James St. James
Last night millions all around the world came out in their Sunday best all in the name of fashion for Fashion Night Out 2012. Here in Dallas where everything is go big or keep your bum in the house we fell not a millimeter short of grand amazing for FNO 2012. The unrecognizable swelling of my feet could tell my FNO 2012 story (TMI)! Being that the first mall in the United States was built here in Dallas I expected no less! I had so much fun I wish I could have packed all of you with me in my car as I mall hopped through fashion festivities fit for fashion royalty. I started out at the fabulous Dallas Galleria which housed the longest runway in the world, amazing sales and a lot of free liquor (unfortunately I missed the runways shows, so much fashion so little time) After the Galleria I headed to North Park center which had everything, runways, festivities, parties, sales, more free liquor (drink responsibly) and most importantly NEIMAN MARCUS (who went all the way out) there was also Roberto Cavalli’s most memorable dresses from the past for viewing, I could go on and on! I’m more exhausted just reliving it, but I would do it all over tonight if I could. Events like last night reinforced my love of fashion and the fashion community! They inspire me to want to be better. Fashion and style brings out the best of individuality and happiness. There’s so much magic in fashion!  I had such an amazing time! I saw some great familiar faces, and met a lot of new amazing people. I even saw Dallas Cowboy’s Dez Bryant enjoying the festivities! I’m so sad it’s over, but I’m already anticipating next year! I really hope you enjoy the pictures! Thanks for stopping by and I’ll talk to you soon!

Sending my LOVE

“I want to die with my blue jeans on.”
-Andy Warhol
There is so much fashion magic in a white t-shirt and jeans! I don’t know what it is these about these two such basic pieces that deliver such effortless chic. I didn’t have intentions of doing an outfit post while my sister and I grabbed lunch because I didn’t really think my outfit was something to post on, but after getting a few compliments I decided to share. My sister was my photog and she wasn’t really sure how to use my camera but I think she did a good job on the few that I could use (LOL)! Thank you so much for stopping bye and talk to you soon!

New York Minute.....

“Style is the only thing you can’t buy. It’s not in a shopping bag, a label, or a price tag. It’s something reflected from our soul to the outside world. An emotion”
-Alber Elbaz (creative director of Lanvin)

Is it just me or is time passing really fast? It seems as if last Monday was yesterday, and another one is approaching! With time passing so quickly I always feel like I’m in overdrive, and in a rush to get everything done, but lately I have been realizing that time is not something I can compete against and I just won’t be able to get everything done. I’m learning how to slow down, take and deep breath, and chill out and make time for the people I love and the things I love to do(i.e.: my blog )I hope you enjoy this look! I have had leopard fever the past few days! (I always have leopard fever) Thank you so much for stopping by and talk to you soon!
XOXO,
Jeanae'

Edward Wilkerson of Lafayette 148 Presents....

“You only live once-you may as well be amusing.”
 -Coco Chanel
Today I had the amazing opportunity of attending the Edward Wilkinson for Lafayette 148 fall collection fashion show and presentation by the designer himself. Neiman Marcus hosted this wonderful event, and as always they didn’t disappoint! Like any Neiman Marcus party the Champagne was flowing and the strawberries were dipped in chocolate. I had the amazing opportunity of meeting the designer and speaking with him, and he is so down to earth and funny! I have always passed this line in store, and I always thought it was for the more sophisticated shopper, but boy was I wrong the pieces are amazing, and what I love is that this line  caters up to size 24. A rarity when in most high end stores don’t cater past a size 12. I really enjoyed myself and had a great time! I hope you enjoy the pics and I’ll talk to you soon!
XOXO,
Jeanae

Perfect Imperfections......

“The finest clothing made is a person’s skin, but, of course, society demands something more than this.”
— Mark Twain
This Mark Twain quote describes how I’m feeling about myself, and who I am! I’m finally in a place where I love me flaws and all, and I realize being a perfect imperfection is what we are meant to be as a society of people. Our imperfections offer character and when we embrace them it’s amazing what we realize about our individuality and talents, and how much it can encourage us to accept and appreciate the differences of others. What’s one of your perfect imperfections and how have you embraced it? I’m excited to hear about them and look forward to your replies!Thank you for your visit and talk to you soon!

It's been too long.......

“To be well dressed is a little like being in love.”
-Oleg Cassini”
It is so nice to be back to the blogging world! I apologize for my absence, and I appreciate all of your visits and comments during my hiatus. I have missed blogging sooo much and I have really reaffirmed my love for it while I have been concentrating on work.  I have also realized it’s important to make time for what you love or you’ll end up a unhappy, snappy zombie like I’ve been the past few weeks, but I’m In a better place now  and I’m excited about sharing with you this post for the D  Style Sheet Party at Neiman Marcus that I had the pleasure of attending.I had fun,but I went alone since no one wanted to come with, but I definitely got to see some familiar faces and drink some great champagne!  I hope you enjoy the pics and I’ll talk to you soon!
XOXO,

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

“Beauty is deeper than just what you look at in a picture. You could fancy what you like, but as a woman my mother always raised us to believe in ourselves. I’m very grateful for the fact that my mother brought me up that way.”
 -Alek Wek
I feel that I have been working extremely too much lately! If I didn’t really love what I do I would probably quit my own business (LOL)! I am currently working on a DIY project of a dresser that I found in a thrift store for only four dollars, but with the condition it's in I was hoping they would have given me some money to take it off their hands. Today I went and picked up some supplies and tools,  and I am really hoping to transform it into something amazing! I hope you enjoy this post and Thank you very much for your visit!

Crushing hard for Fall

“Adornment what a science! Beauty what a weapon! Modesty what elegance! ”
-Coco Chanel
I’m a huge fan of Coco Chanel the designer, but her life story is even more amazing! If you have never seen any of her documentaries run to your nearest video store or do like me and buy them, you will want to watch over and over again! The hot weather here has me very much anticipating fall! I always anticipate fall around this time! Today was a great day filled with church, family and brunch.  Tonight I look forward to spending some time with my boyfriend who has been away (glad to have my photog. back). Thank you so much for stopping by talk to you soon!

Dressed in a Hurry

“You can have anything you want in life, if you dress for it.”
-Edith Head
First and foremost I must apologize for my one week hiatus! I had what I called a “one week slump”. Have you ever had those day(s) where you just weren’t yourself, and you just don’t want to do anything? Well that was me last week. I feel that sometimes with work, relationships, and family that we are continuously moving and I decided that last week I needed some quality time with myself to just do nothing(except for a little previously scheduled work)! Well now that reality has barged back in I realize I  have so much work to do this week to make up for last week, and I have to catch up on so many blogs that I think I need another slump just to get back on track! I really hope you guys enjoy this last minute look that I had to pull out a hat for my friend’s birthday dinner! Don’t you hate it when you have to pull a whole look together in only a few minutes? Thank you so much for stopping my!
